CKD8D diesel electric locomotive designed and manufactured by CNR Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company Limited in 2003, which equipped with AC-DC main transmission, AC auxiliary transmission, and specially designed for Pakistan railway of wide gauge is used for hauling passenger and freight transportation on main line. There are two cabs and inside corridors in the locomotive body. The locomotive is of A-1-A axle arrangement, and the maximum service speed is 125km/h. The engine serviced in this locomotive is of 12V240ZJD type with worldly advanced level, the maximum service power of the engine is 1840kw.

GKD5B Diesel-electric Locomotive (Exported to North Korea in 1997)

GKD5B diesel-electric shunting locomotive is improved for shunting services in Ping Rang Subway, Korea on the basis of GKD5 locomotive. In addition, GKD5B is also suitable for railway transportation and shunting operation in forest zone, mining area, factory district, hydropower station, salt field and local railways. This locomotive is equipped with 12V135Z diesel engine matched with Siemens Brushless alternator and three phase AC-DC transmission. The locomotive of car body with outside corridor is equipped with high strengthened radiators, two interchangeable two-axle bogies with center plate, auxiliary side bearing, axle box with rolling bearing and single side shoe braking. Air brake is used for locomotive braking system, which can brake locomotive separately or brake the locomotive and train simultaneously. The traction motor is suspended under the middle of car body. Both ends of the motor shaft drive the front and rear wheel set through cardan shaft at the same time.

CKD7 diesel-electric locomotive with AC-DC transmission manufactured by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company Limited is used for hauling passenger and freight trains on the main line of meter gauge in Myanmar. There are two driver’s cabs and inside corridors in the locomotive body. The body seats on three bogies of Bo-Bo-Bo axle arrangement. The locomotive is equipped with a CAT3516 engine whose maximum service power for locomotive is 1250kW. The locomotive is also provided with combined air-vacuum brake system and rheostat brake system. This type of locomotive was exported to Myanmar Railways in the early part of 1993.

The tractive power is 1840kw. The bogie adopts Co-Co type wheel arrangement. The Maximum operating speed is 80kw/h. The power unit of the locomotive employs 12V240ZJD-Ⅱ engine, which is widely used for power supply for rail traction and features high reliability and economy. The locomotive was exported to Malaysia National Petrol Company in 2001.
