CKD7 Diesel-electric Locomotive (Exported to Myanmar in 1993)

CKD7 diesel-electric locomotive with AC-DC transmission manufactured by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company Limited is used for hauling passenger and freight trains on the main line of meter gauge in Myanmar. There are two driver’s cabs and inside corridors in the locomotive body. The body seats on three bogies of Bo-Bo-Bo axle arrangement. The locomotive is equipped with a CAT3516 engine whose maximum service power for locomotive is 1250kW. The locomotive is also provided with combined air-vacuum brake system and rheostat brake system. This type of locomotive was exported to Myanmar Railways in the early part of 1993.

The CKD8C type locomotive manufactured by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company Limited is an AC-DC diesel-electric locomotive intended for passenger and freight trains on mailline (narrow gauge). The tractive power is 1840kw. The bogie adopts Co-Co type wheel arrangement. The Maximum operating speed is 80kw/h. The power unit of the locomotive employs 12V240ZJD-Ⅱ engine, which is widely used for power supply for rail traction and features high reliability and economy. The locomotive was exported to Malaysia National Petrol Company in 2001.

NZR DL Class (DL 9043) KiwiRail -- CKD9B

The NZR DL class designed by CNR Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Company Limited is a class of diesel-electric locomotives under construction for KiwiRail. Once commissioned, they will be the most powerful diesel-electric locomotives in service in New Zealand. It was previously reported that the class was to be known as the DK class, however KiwiRail have since reclassed it DL, after the builder of the locomotives, Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock. The first locomotive will be numbered DL 9008. They are expected to enter service from late 2010 or early 2011. They will be the first new locomotives to enter service on the New Zealand railway network in more than 20 years.

The CKD8E type locomotive manufactured by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co. Ltd. CNR Group China in 2005 is an AC diesel-electric locomotive intended for passenger and freight trains on mainline for KTMB. The tractive power is 2580kw. The Maximum operating speed is 120km/h. The track gauge is 1000mm. The locomotive adopts the advanced technologies of AC propulsion system to improve the adhesion and reduce wheel-slide, so it has good starting traction performance. Compare with DC motor, the AC motor has the advantage of smaller volume, less maintenance, longer service life and fewer fault.

DJF1型“中原之星”电力动车组

DJF1型“中原之星”电力动车组

DJF1型“中原之星”电力动车组是中国铁路的准高速电力动车组,是“交-直-交”电传动、动力分散型电动车组。由中国南车集团所属的株洲电力机车厂、青岛四方机车车辆股份有限公司、株洲电力机车研究所三家单位联合研制,使用JD112型交流牵引电动机及IGBT牵引逆变器,是中国少数采用动力分散式的动车组,也是首款使用IGBT VVVF元件的车辆之一。设计速度为200km/h,最高营运速度为160km/h。

“中原之星”电力动车组是拥有多项“中国铁路第一”的电动车组:自主设计拥有自“中原之星”电动车组主知识产权的第一台动力分散型电动车组;在京广铁路线投入商业运营的第一列动车组。但是由于列车属实验性质经常出现问题,有时需以机车牵引运营。据记者采访中,许多列车乘务员、火车站工作人员以及维修工提起“中原之星”都说那是出了名的“病车”。
